I love the way you describe your perspective of the world and the various mothers in it. A lot of people lump all pregnancies and all births together and say they're all good things. I think the media contributes heavily to that perception. In the movies it seems like even the surprise pregnancies that could be absolutely devastating in the real world still end in "Oh but now the baby is born and its perfect and beautiful and so it was all worth it and everything is great now". I really appreciate you going out of your way to acknowledge that for some people, pregnancy and birth are terrible, traumatic, life ruining things. It's very validating and it's sorely needed in a world that props up ideals like "Women only exist to make babies".
